How to install modpacks on a Minecraft server

Our servers come with a handy one-click installer, so all you need to do is log into Multicraft, click on Open Menu, select a modpack from the list, and hit the Restart button. However, if the modpack you are looking for is not included in our list, you can manually install it on your server by following the steps below.

Note: given that most modpacks are quite large, we suggest you upload them with an FTP client like FileZilla, Cyberduck, WinSCP, or any similar app. If you are not sure about your FTP login details, you can simply log into Multicraft, click on FilesFile Manager, and copy all details from that page.

Installing a modpack from CurseForge

  • Go to the modpack's official page on the CurseForge website
  • Scroll down to the Server Packs section in the sidebar located on the right
  • Follow the first link and hit the Download button in order to download the zip file
  • Upload the zip file to your server (again, we suggest using an FTP client for this task)
  • Log into the Multicraft panel and make sure the server is offline
  • Click on Open Menu and select the Forge version required by this modpack
  • Click on FilesFile Manager to browse your files and unzip the modpack
  • Start the server again and wait until it's online, this may take up to 5 minutes

Installing a modpack from Feed The Beast

  • Go to the modpack's official page on the FTB website
  • Click on Versions and download one of the installers under Server Files
  • Move the installer in a temporary directory, run it and complete the installation
  • Create a zip archive containing the files you have just downloaded with the installer
